One of my favorite dishes to order when going to a Thai restaurant is the basil chicken. The aroma and flavors of basil with the succulence of chicken just makes this dish so much more delectable.
Thai Basil Chicken
Servings: 4 servings
Total Time: 35 minutes
1.5 Lbs Chicken Thighs (cut into small pieces)
2 handful Fresh Basil Leaves (half chopped)
2 Shallots (minced)
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Fish sauce
1 tsp. Chili Paste
1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
Heat oil in pan and saute garlic and shallots until browned.
Add the chicken and soy sauce. Cook until the pink is almost gone then add the fish sauce, chili paste, and half of the basil leaves (chopped leaves).
Saute until chicken is fully cooked then add the remaining basil leaves (full)
Take off the heat and serve.
