Aleppo Pepper

Aleppo Pepper is originally from Syria

Also known as Halaby pepper, aleppo peppers are another form of capsicum annuum. Aleppo peppers are used as a spice or as a marinade on its own. Aleppo peppers are generally used in Mediterranean cuisines.

It’s a dark burgundy color. The pepper is named after Aleppo, a city along the Silk Road in Syria. It has a moderate heat level and has a little fruitiness. The chile tastes close to an ancho chile but a little saltier.
