I know I love to post chicken recipes… but here is a yummy recipe for all the vegetarians! Isn’t it when you go to Mexican places, the only vegetarian dishes they find are with beans and cheese (generally). So frustrating no? There are so many other veggies they could improvise with and the closest taco spot I’ve been to that has been courageous enough to experiment with different veggie options is Tacolicious.
Summer is almost at its end, but football season has just started so things are still looking up to me! I love, love, love football season. All the commotion, the smack-talk, the colorful jerseys, and most of all…. can you guess it? THE FOOD! haha
Tacolicious, located in downtown Palo Alto, CA, this location has become quite a hot spot for locals and college students. This extension of the Tacolicious in San Francisco offers more vegetarian options on the menu and their largest bar yet!
A unique mural by artist Paul Madonna is on the wall to the left when walking in. (He also did the mural at the San Francisco location)
I had gone to the city, San Francisco, with one of my best friends and her sister, and we were starving! I started contacting a bunch of my friends in the area or that were familiar with some hot spots in SF and one of my good friends suggested to go to Nick’s Crispy Tacos. My friends and I were a little skeptic at first…one because of our location and how long it would take us to get there and two because it didn’t look appealing from the outside.
One of my friends had come over one night and we decided to have a movie night. We both looked at each other and the first thing that came out of both our mouths were…TACOS! I wanted to make fish tacos a few days before, but never had the chance. What a coincidence that she wanted tacos the same night I did! 😉
